MEXICO OLYMPICS 1968
Like Tokyo 1964 Ghana once again entered for boxing, athletics and football at the Mexico 1968 Olympics. The football discipline was however on invitation because the zonal winners Morocco pulled out. Their reason was that they felt uncomfortable being in the same group with Israel for political reasons. Ghana had placed second in the qualifying series and the invitation was most welcome.
Unfortunately the Ghana contingent returned home empty handed
