Asamoah Gyan The Enigma
All I can surmise about that much heralded friendly international football match between Ghana and England at Wembley Stadium in London on Tuesday night is that Ghana's Asamoah Gyan confirmed his reputation as an enigma.
The reputed striker who is remembered for his memorable penalty miss against Uruguay that could have given Ghana a record semi- final berth in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa was at his enigmatic best at Wembley.
He missed several begging chances but in the end he contrived to give Ghana a memorable injury time equaliser that would be the talking point for a long time.

In this fairly balanced game, England proved a bit more tactically disciplined than the Black Stars of Ghana but in the end the unyielding fighting spirit of the Black Stars gave them a deserving 1-1 draw after the new sensation Carroll had given England a half time lead.
The carnival atmosphere at Wembley was infectious as the numerous Ghanaians fans really enjoyed the opportunity of seeing their players rub shoulders with their former colonial masters who introduced the game into Ghana in 1903.
The match was a far cry from the 1958 contest in Accra between the English FA XI and Ghana which England won 7-0.It was such a well organised match that I back the popular opinion that it could even be an annual event. What do you think?
Anyway, cheers everybody and keep loving sports.
