Another Soccer Bonanza in Ghana
March 26th, 2011Whilst English football fans await the three sizzling fixtures between the two amazing prize fighters, Manchester United and Chelsea, their counterparts in Ghana will enjoy a bumper harvest of two exciting international matches this weekend.
The Ghana Olympic team, Black Meteors, will face Sudan in an Olympic Games qualifier in the first match followed by an African Nations Cup qualifier between Benin and Cote d’Ivoire. Both matches take place at the Ohene Djan Stadium at the nation's capital .What a treat! more »
The One Sided EL Classico
March 21st, 2011The Ghana version of El Classico between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak billed to be a titanic battle turned out to be a near one way traffic with Kotoko beating Hearts in all departments of the game.
The 2-0 win for Kotoko was no where near the 5-0 thumping Barcelona dished out to Real Madrid in the original El Classico but this was due to some lethargic marksmanship by Kotoko at certain stages of the game. more »

March 4th, 2011It may sound like a broken gramophone but I cannot help lauding the brilliant work of that body in charge of arranging fixtures for the English Premier league.The fixtures are done in such a marvelous way that you find excitement throughout the season, no wonder the EPL's worldwide appeal is never in doubt.Take for instance the Chelsea- Manchester United first round match which was ruined by snow around Xmas.I have no idea whether the fixtures committee members are necromancers but fixing the match in the middle of the second round at the time it did added extra excitement. more »
