Confidence Is The Word

A Welcome Serbian Invasion of Ghana
February 15th, 2011am as excited like Alex Ferguson jubilating over United’s local derby triumph over City. My excitement is that the campaign I launched in September 2010 for my home country Ghana, to go for as many Serbian football managers as possible is yielding positive results.As I write, there are four Serbian coaches working full time in Ghana and from all indications things look bright for Ghana football.The Football Association has listened to wisdom and has contracted a third Serbian Coach, Garon Stevanovic for the senior national team Black Stars to follow trail blazers Ratomir Dujkovic and Milovan Rajevac who made Ghana proud in two successive World Cups. more »

February 7th, 2011I am not superstitious even though I would not like to walk under a ladder. But I have a strong affection for numerologists. I admire the way they play with numbers especially the interpretation of events and calendar dates.I have one such friend who explained to me why my favourite football club Manchester United had their unbeaten run in the English Premier league halted by bottom club Wolves at the time that it happened. more »
Exciting Days Ahead
February 2nd, 2011I cannot simply help to resist the temptation of continuing to admire the great similarities in English football programmes and that of my home country, Ghana.Even though I am not too excited about certain Ghanaian premier division clubs adopting typical English names like Chelsea and Arsenal, I would have to admit that they are really taking a lot of inspiration from those names and now Berekum Chelsea and Berekum Arsenal can easily be counted among the top clubs in Ghana. more »
