Signs Of Things To Come

The exciting results being recorded at the closing stages of most of the European domestic leagues plus the Champions League and many of the leagues in Africa, notably that of my country, Ghana portends an enthralling FIFA World Cup in June.I have this funny feeling that the first World Cup to be staged in Africa could provide one of the most exciting results in history. Don’t forget that Africa dubbed “the dark continent” by the colonialists is also known as the country of surprises. The Stone The Builders Rejected

Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s newly signed on coach Johnson Smith can aptly be described as the stone that the builders rejected that had become the cornerstone of the building. The former international star noted for his immaculate ball juggling was the clubs assistant coach but incoming coach Paa Kwasi Fabin asked for his replacement a few weeks into the start of the season. more »

COURAGEOUS ARSENAL

The two courageous performances by Arsenal in the week have shown that Arsene Wenger’s twinkle twinkle little stars could still be in the reckoning for honours in both the Champions league and the Premiership.The way Arsenal could contain the incessant assaults by Barcelona and neutralised the planned ambush by Lionel Messi and Co was superb. After that stupendous display by Arsenal goalie Manuel Almunia in the first half where he saved at least three obvious goals , it came as a big surprise when two faulty anticipations in the early minutes of resumption gave Barcelona a comfortable 2-0 lead. more »
